Association Introduction

Established in October 1988, Chongqing Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment is governed directly under the Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Commission and is registered under the Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs. It is a non-profit-making social legal entity, composed of enterprises which are funded by foreign-owned enterprises and by Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese. Mr. Li Jianchun, Director-General of Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Commission, was appointed as Chairman of the Council of the Association,and invited 2 senior consultants and 21 consultants from the government .
Its principles:
In accordance with the policies, codes, laws and regulations on reform & open-up and developing the West China to boost foreign investments, the Association has established the principle of trying its best to serve its members and investors, guiding them to conduct businesses complying to laws and regulations, safeguarding their legal rights and interests. The purpose is to increase mutual collaboration among members as well as mutual understanding and corporation between member enterprises and the local government so that they may better play an active role in pushing forward Chongqing’s economic and social development and international economic corporation.
The main services of the Association are as follows:

• Promoting the principles, policies, laws and regulations on carrying out China's Reform and Open-up and attracting foreign investments; Introducing Chongqing’s investment environment, and offering information and consulting services to foreign investors.
• With the authorization from the Chongqing Foreign Economic Relations and Trade Commission, undertaking the evaluation, examination and certificate issue for the two types of foreign enterprises (Product-for-Export Enterprise and Advanced Technology Enterprises); Managing filing of foreign enterprises with branches in Chongqing; Collecting and analyzing annual test data of foreign enterprises Confirming the outward visits of foreign enterprises.
• Acting on the behalf of member enterprises and foreign investors in acquiring various licenses and procedures; Providing professional services on market research and analysis and feasibility report of investment projects.
• Hosting regular seminars on policies, economic tendency and organizing training sessions, seminars and visits for member enterprises.
• Organizing member enterprises to exchange experience on operation and management. Giving award in recognition of advancement of the enterprises.
• Dealing with the complaints from member enterprises, and reporting to relative government departments about their complaints and demands in terms of improving investment environment. Regular company calls to learn and solve problems of members on their daily operations.
• Organizing the member enterprises to participate in international and domestic exhibitions and fairs
• Hosting various activities to strengthen mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation among its members, as well as between the member enterprises and local government authorities.
• Compiling a journal of the Association Newsletter, and collecting useful information related to foreign investment.
• Other services entrusted by relevant government departments and member enterprises.
